Backyard Kansas City Engagement Session

Imagine the unique charm of a backyard engagement photoshoot in the heart of Kansas City. Nestled amidst the urban vibes of KC is a hidden gem - this couples charming historic home, nestled on a large lot (wow), boasting a hand-built greenhouse that's nothing short of magical. A collection of pots holding baby succulents, shelves full of playful assortment of plants, and even a cozy corner to relax and enjoy the natural light streaming in through the windows. Truly, what could be more refreshing and cozy? But I'll tell you what made me most excited to meet Daisy and Trafe at their property... their lively cast of turkeys, chickens, and ducks. Walking into their backyard and seeing their sweet gang of bird friends filled me with utter glee. A dream!

Amidst the vibrant greenery and the gentle quacks and clucks of the feathered friends, the couple's cool and calm authenticity radiates. We relaxed in their hand-built greenhouse. We potted plants as wedding favors. We tramped through the yard, fed the chickens, rallied the turkey, and purely enjoyed soaking up the wonderful setting they've brilliantly crafted and curated in the heart of Kansas City. To say this setting was a dream is an understatement. It not only filled my cup creatively and gave me my animal fix, but got me utterly excited for their upcoming intimate backyard wedding. Stay tuned for more photos from this couples' Kansas City oasis!
