A feeler, a slow-life enthusiast, a person meant for coziness and simple delights. A reader, a yogi, a creative. A Harry Potter obsessor and United Kingdom enthusiast. A traveler, a Kansan, a wife, a mom. I’ve been creatively inclined my entire life, and am grateful this phase of creativity, artistry, empathy, and connection is through the lens (pun absolutely intended) of photography.

my goal is to always be present and mindful to fully capture the pure, unique qualities of you and your loved ones.

Whether you're hitting a milestone or reveling in this life phase and all it's lovely simplicities, let's freeze-frame it together.

Meet Emma

Consider this my show-n-tell.

A Digital Scrapbook

A visual scrapbook of moments and places and roles that scream 'Emma'. Cozy and delightful, joy-inspiring and authentic. Bit of me shared, from me to you.

My family, my loves. In a house full of boys, and loving every minute. Cuddles with our dog Huck, slow mornings with coffee expertly 'made' by my son, and leaf raking, water-table playing, and yoga practicing in the backyard.

At work and in heaven (see those smiles?). Those moments getting read my couples and families, celebrate the energy that makes them THEM, and bring it to life.

In my happiest of places, the United Kingdom. I come alive when exploring all the UK has to offer. The cozy (or shall I say 'cosy'?) corners, the sweeping rolling views, the overcast soul-filling weather. No place makes me feel more 'me'.

From traveling the world with my husband, hosting yoga retreats with my high-school best friend, taking girls' trips abroad, spending several months abroad in college, and more, traveling is what excites me and ignites my creativity and sense of self most.

My Approach to Photography & Life

Just Be

My prayer before every session or wedding is to allow myself to 'just be'. To be in the moment. To be a conduit for creativity. To allow God's vision of you be so present through my eyes, and allow me to capture that, to be reflected back to you. My goal is always to be so present that I notice the details that celebrate the story and cherish the simplicities of life. The way your grandparents hold hands during your ceremony. The way your baby scrunches his nose when he looks at you. The way your toddler indeed toddles from point a to inevitable distraction. These are the details we miss when we're not present. But they are the details that absolute radiate when we can just be.
